The Pretty Path Project
There's a path that connects the Courtyard to the front of the house.
You wouldn't know it, though, by the look of things over the past couple of decades.
As my first project of the spring season, I set out like an archeologist to uncover it, and to turn it into the pretty path it once was.
Before

It took me several days of hand-hurting work to get to the point I could start to see brick.
During

I then had gardeners do the rest so I could finally get to the fun part - planting.
After

Now it's a pretty (and more easily walkable) path – a red brick road lined by purple flowers (lavender and Allen Chickering sage) and green leaves (oregano, sage, thyme).
Liz and Liz love the exposed concrete, too. Can you spot both of them in the After pic?
