Let's Hear It For The Sunflower Volunteers
The sunflowers I planted last year volunteered to plant themselves this year!
It's so cool to see them randomly growing in random places.
This one grew itself in a space between the asphalt of my street and the neighbor's fence:
May 13
These two on the other side of the fence from the Cantina (where Egret the Explorer was spotted):
May 19
May 23
This one on the Stairway Slope (where I planted the sunflowers last year):
May 19
And this one 0.2 miles down the street from my house, hiding among all the wild mustard:
May 21
If anyone asks, I'm a big mustard.
There is even one about 2.5 miles from my house on the side of the road! I noticed it while driving to work. I don't have a picture of it, but it's really cool to see! I wonder if it's from the Courtyard! I have never seen a sunflower growing out and about around here before.
Round of applause for the sunflower volunteers.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
